Microsoft is planning to
release Microsoft Office
Information Bridge framework
(IBF), Web Service
Enhancements 2.0(WSE 2.0)
and Visual Studio 2005 Team
System.
IBF and WSE are expected to improve the developer performance to
better levels. The Visual
Studio 2005 Team system,
which is expected to be out
in 2005 is slated to reduce
the efforts of coding by
50%. The development will be
faster using both IBF and
Visual Studio 2005 Team
system.
IBF includes both client side components and Server side
components. It also includes
a Plug-in for Visual
Studio.NET called
Information Bridge Metadata
designer, to create and
manage the meta data
solutions. IBF can be used
to create Webservices for
Office development.
WSE 2.0 includes a lot of easy to use wizards for development.
Steve Balmer while
commenting on the new
product has said that the
aim of these products is to
reduce the Total cost of
ownership for the
corporations who deploy
Microsoft tools to improve
their business.
With the advent of such products all of us know that these tools improve
productivity a lot. On the
Other hand it involves new
learning by developers
leaving a lot of old Win32
programmers redundant.
